Very happy to share that Giacomo Garufi, whom I had the pleasure of co-advising alongside my supervisor Roberto Navigli, has successfully completed his Master’s thesis!
His thesis, LIRA-100: An analysis of Italian Long-context Narrative Understanding, explores how large language models handle long narrative texts in Italian, introducing a new benchmark to evaluate their comprehension and reasoning abilities.
The work is exciting and will soon be the foundation of a new publication — stay tuned!
